Move the mouse — swing the hammer

How to play

The mouse controls the hammer, and the hammer is your only means of movement. Hook it on scenery and pull, push off ledges to launch, and try not to slide back down.

DriftBoss Tips

01Small, deliberate movements. Fast swings are what send you back down the mountain.
02Hook and pull rather than push whenever the geometry allows it.
03Learn one section at a time. Falling is normal and not a reason to restart the tab.
04Rest the hammer on a ledge before attempting a big move — momentum from a stable base is far more controllable.

About Getting Over It

Getting Over It made its name on a simple, cruel idea: no checkpoints, no saves against failure, and a physics system that will happily undo an hour of work in three seconds.

This browser version keeps the mouse-driven hammer control that makes it so difficult.

FAQ

Are there checkpoints?

No. Falling can cost you the entire climb, which is the point of the game.

Do I need a keyboard?

No. The mouse alone controls everything.

Is there an ending?

Yes — reaching the top of the mountain finishes the climb.
