2048 Rogue — tile merging with a run structure. Free

2048 Rogue keeps the sliding-tile maths and adds something the original never had: a reason to hurry. Story mode hands you an objective and a fixed number of moves to reach it.

How to play

Move all tiles in one direction; identical tiles that collide merge into the next value. In Endless mode you play until the board jams; in Story mode you have to hit the objective before your moves run out.

Tips & tactics

01Pick one corner and never move your largest tile out of it.
02Only ever use three of the four directions. The fourth is what breaks a good board.
03In Story mode, count moves before merging — a wasted slide is worse than a small merge.
04Build one long chain down a row rather than several separate pairs.

About 2048 Rogue

2048 Rogue takes the 2015 puzzle everyone already knows and layers a run-based structure on top: objectives, limited turns and a reason to restart quickly.

Endless mode is still there if you just want the original maths with no clock.

FAQ

What ends a game?
In Endless mode, when the board is full and no valid move remains. In Story mode, when you run out of allowed moves before completing the objective.
Is it the same as regular 2048?
The merging rules are identical. The difference is the objectives and turn limits in Story mode.
Any strategy that always helps?
Corner-locking: keep your highest tile pinned in one corner and never slide it away.

Story mode is the reason to play. Endless is just 2048.
