Meccha Chameleon — hide in plain sight, free online

Meccha Chameleon splits the room in two. One side turns into scenery and tries to look like it belongs; the other walks around looking for the chair that is very slightly the wrong colour.

How to play

Hiders transform into objects and position themselves to match the lighting and texture around them. Seekers move through the map shooting anything that looks out of place — and paying for it when they are wrong.

Tips & tactics

01Match the lighting, not just the object. A correctly coloured item in the wrong shadow reads as fake instantly.
02Rotation is the tell most hiders forget. Objects in a room face consistent directions.
03As a seeker, look for duplicates — two identical items where the map only placed one.
04Do not hide alone in an empty room. Clutter is cover; emptiness is a spotlight.

About Meccha Chameleon

Meccha Chameleon belongs to the prop-hunt lineage: asymmetric multiplayer where one team's whole job is to be unremarkable.

The transformation and rotation controls are what separate a convincing hiding place from an obvious one, and both take a few rounds to internalise.
