Fireboy and Watergirl is the co-op puzzle platformer that half the internet learned teamwork on. Each character survives one liquid and dies in the other, so neither can finish alone.

How to play

Control both characters — one on WASD, one on the arrow keys — and get each to their own matching door. Fireboy passes safely through lava, Watergirl through water, and green goo kills both.

Tips & tactics

01Green goo is fatal to both. When in doubt, neither of you should touch it.
02Levers and buttons usually need one character to hold position while the other moves.
03Collect the diamonds on the way through — backtracking for them is far harder.
04Playing solo is possible but much easier with two people on one keyboard.

About Fireboy and Watergirl

The Forest Temple is the first and best-known chapter of the series, built around lava, water and goo pools that each character has to treat differently.

It works both as a two-player game on a shared keyboard and as a solo challenge of controlling both characters at once.

Yes, controlling both characters yourself, though it is considerably harder than playing with a partner.
What kills each character?
Fireboy dies in water, Watergirl dies in lava, and the green goo kills both of them.
Do I need to collect the diamonds?
No, but they raise your level rating and are much harder to get on a second pass.
